look a little closer http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Weekend_events its pretty even since the last dragon festival. i consider the alliance battle and F/A-jade quarry weekends both PvP and PvE. take those 5 weekends out and theres been 1 more PvE related weekend then PvP in the last year.
i would like to see some of these things go on in the middle of the week once in a while or start them on thursday at noon and end monday at midnight to give everyone a better shot at taking part if they choose.

They started allowing Ursan in AB & F/A? Sorry to break it to you but it is considered pvp by anet, otherwise Ursan would have been nerfed a long time ago.
Got to cut the grass this weekend anyway.

If you wanna put it that way:
One could also say that AB and F/A are not accessed via the PvP battle isles.
Almost everyone I know considers AB and F/A to be PvE/PvP. Mostly because of the huge amount of solo-farm builds you see there.

And as for the champ title... let's wait to see which gimmick will be used this weekend to farm 50+ CPoints in one weekend

You have me on F/A but AB is accessed through the guild hall which is on the PvP Battle isles.
Do you also consider Dragon Festival and Wintersday festival to be PvE/PvP or just PvE? You can access the arenas during the events from the battle isles. Not flaming or trying to start a flame war, just curious.

points to NPCs in Great Balth that let you access FA and JQ.
you are correct however, that AB. FA and JQ are PvP/PvE.

they are both. Dragon Arena and snowball are "lite" PvP.

Hey... to all those "only 1 in 10 people PvP" comments... maybe by having all these double PvP weekends a.net is trying to... you know... encourage people to try PvP. *gasp*
Simple isn't it?
Besides, don't complain. You just had double GW:EN points weekend (aka, max your Ursan rank weekend), so any PvEer should be content with what they have.

There is a class of people that anet is trying to appeal to. This is the player that has low champ points, and is looked down upon in pvp. They can't get a higher title because good groups require a higher title.
Since the people with high champ points already feel secure with their titles, they don't feel any incentive to play. By having double pvp weekends, they encourage the low champ point player to play more to catch up. Sometimes this causes the already established players in a title race, thus keeping GW1 active until GW2 is released.
The problem with this of course is worthless titles. Now r9 Hero is worthless after all the double fame weekends, and there are really bad GvG players that are champ r5 (that I've witnessed myself).

Or Even higher, sad part is, after this weekend every person that isn't champ5+ and still plays this game will be champ5+. Worthless titles have already come and gone, this is just a nail in the coffin for the champ title.

erm...
I think ppl got the wrong end of this thread, it was a thread to say I thought it was weird to have 2 similar weekend events in such a short space of time.
It was NOT
a QQ thread
a PvP bashing thread
opened to be a PvE bashing thread
I just thought it was strange that a-net would do 2 weekends so similar so close to each other.
Shame to see the GW "community" as full of bile and bitterness as always
as soon as they get a chance to have a rant.

this is why my guild moved from c1+ to c3+. Even though MOST are scams, anyone with a champ friend can usually get the title easily.
